Sue Monahan highlighted as one of the “up-and-coming” power brokers
Rome, September 10, 2015. Sue Monahan, appointed just last year as CEO of the Small Cell Forum, has been named as one of the wireless industry’s upcoming “behind the scenes” power players.
This year’s rankings of the most influential women working in the wireless industry, published annually by Fierce Wireless, named Monahan in a new category called the “Women to Watch” list.
The new category listed just four women deemed to be up-and-coming potential power players who are likely to have a big influence in 2016.
Speaking at the Small Cell Forum’s Plenary meeting in Rome, Monahan said: “It’s great to be recognised, but really this simply highlights how much more influence small cells are going to have on the mobile market.
“Widespread, multi-standard, small cell deployments will be a vital component of the networks that operators build to satisfy the demand high speed mobile broadband – and the work we do at the Forum will help drive that capability,” she added.
Fierce Wireless said its Women to Watch may not be widely known now, but were powerful players behind the scenes, overseeing important business units.
