SCF Mobile Network Awards 2025 returns to this year’s Small Cells World Summit 

SCF Awards are now open

This year’s categories have been updated to accommodate new areas of the wireless connectivity industry including AI, cloudification and Open RAN 

SCF (Small Cell Forum), the global trade organization committed to accelerating the sustainable digital transformation of industry, enterprise and communities, has announced the SCF awards will be returning to Small Cells World Summit (SCWS) this June. 

Entries are open for the SCF Mobile Network Awards, with new categories including topics such as Open RAN, cloudification, and AI, as well as popular long-standing categories such as ‘excellence in commercial deployment by an operator’. The awards recognize both technical innovation and commercial success.  

They are open to the whole industry (not just SCF members) and attract a broad range of entries from mobile network operators, neutral hosts, private network operators, software, hardware, and chipset vendors. 

Previous winners include: Nokia, SK Telecom, Mavenir, Qualcomm, Airspan, Parallel Wireless, BT Wholesale, Qualcomm, Wireless Infrastructure Group and Ericsson. 

Companies are encouraged to enter the awards by 1 April to be in with a chance of winning their industry recognized badge of excellence.  

The categories are as follows: 

1.      Excellence in commercial deployment by a service provider (including MNO, neutral host or private network operator) 

2.      Outstanding software and services products or technology 

3.      Outstanding hardware and components products or technology (including radio, chips, components, fronthaul) 

4.      Outstanding cloud and AI platform products or technology (servers, cloud software, orchestration etc.) 

5.      Outstanding contribution to open platforms and architectures (taking in Open RAN, cloudification, standards etc.) 

6.      Outstanding contribution to emerging technologies (allowing some 5G-A and ‘6G’ focus) 

7.      Outstanding progress in enabling neutral host and multi-operator business models’ 

8.      Judges’ Choice 

The awards are judged independently by a panel of industry analysts and journalists. This year’s judging panel includes Caroline Gabriel, Industry analyst and SCF Content Director, Sue Rudd, Analyst and Director at BBand Communications, Simon Saunders, Industry expert and fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Keith Dyer, Editor and Founder of The Mobile Network, and Monica Paolini, Founder and Analyst at Senza Fili.

The Awards ceremony will be held 3 June in London on the first evening of SCWS, followed by a glitzy drinks reception to celebrate and network with your colleagues and peers.  

Submissions can be joint entries between two or more companies, and you can enter multiple categories of your choice.
